Classification of dispensing system types
There are basically two cooling methods for beer and wine dispensing systems: wet coolers and dry coolers. Both variants are so-called flow coolers. Here's the difference:
Dry cooling units :
- Dry cooling units work with a solid cooling medium, a cooling block, which is cooled down to the desired temperature.
- In special stainless steel cooling coils, the beer is passed through this cooled block when tapping.
- These devices are compact, lightweight and quickly ready for use.
- This type is usually placed directly on the counter, but can also be used as an under-counter cooler with just a few simple steps.
Wet cooling devices :
- Wet coolers use liquid coolant that directly cools the beer as it flows through special cooling coils.
- These devices are efficient and well suited for professional use in the catering industry.
- The integrated accompanying cooling system cools the beer all the way to the tap.
- This type is installed under the counter or, in many cases, in an adjacent room.

Beer dispensing systems – perfect beer enjoyment at the touch of a button
A freshly tapped beer simply tastes better than one from a bottle. With the right beer tap system, you can bring this experience home anytime – or enhance your next event. Whether for private use, parties, or the catering industry, there's a beer tap system to suit every need.
From small beer taps for occasional use to commercial taps with professional technology, the selection is vast. Models with integrated beer coolers are particularly popular, as they ensure the perfect drinking temperature. A tap with a flow cooler is ideal for dispensing larger quantities, while a 5-liter keg tap with cooling is perfect for home use.
Mobile solutions are also in demand: A mobile tap system allows you to enjoy fresh beer from the keg anywhere – whether at a barbecue, while camping, or at an event. But regardless of whether the tap system is for home or for a restaurant, the key is that the beer is dispensed at the right temperature and without excessive foam.
Which dispensing system should you buy? The most important criteria at a glance
When purchasing a beer dispensing system, several factors come into play. First, consider what you need the system for. Do you want a beer dispensing system for your home to enjoy a cold beer occasionally? Or do you need a beer dispensing system for catering that can handle larger quantities?
Cooling is an important aspect. A tap system with cooling ensures beer is kept at the perfect temperature. A beer cooler tap system, which chills the drink immediately as it is drawn, is particularly practical. If you regularly serve large quantities, our tap system with a flow cooler is the best choice, as it quickly brings the beer to the optimal temperature.
The size of the keg also plays a role. A 5-liter keg dispenser with cooling is ideal for home use, while a 30- or 50-liter dispenser is more suitable for larger events. Those who want to remain flexible should consider a mobile dispenser that's easy to transport.
Last but not least, you should pay attention to ease of use. Our dispensing systems are easy to connect, reliable to operate, and uncomplicated to clean – so your beer always stays fresh and tasty.
Mobile beer tap system – Is flexible beer enjoyment worth it?
A mobile beer tap system is the perfect solution for anyone who doesn't want to miss out on freshly tapped beer while on the go. But in what situations is it really worth investing in?
Whether for garden parties, camping trips, or large events, a mobile beer dispensing system offers maximum flexibility. Unlike permanently installed dispensing systems, it's easy to transport and often doesn't require an external CO₂ supply. Many models operate with an integrated pump system or electric cooling, making them particularly easy to use.
Those who regularly party on the go will benefit from a small beer tap system that can be combined with various beer kegs. Compact beer coolers with a tap are particularly practical, as they not only perfectly chill beer but also provide a true tapping experience.
However, there are differences: While some mobile models are only suitable for 5-liter kegs, there are larger versions that are also compatible with 10- or 20-liter kegs. Those who value constant cooling should choose a mobile tap system with cooling – this way, the beer stays at the perfect temperature even during longer parties.
But no matter which model you choose: a mobile beer tap makes every event a little better!
Connecting a dispensing system – How to do it without problems
To ensure your beer is perfectly tapped, it's important to connect the tap system correctly. But what do you need to keep in mind?
The procedure varies depending on the model. A dispensing system with refrigeration or a model with a CO₂ cartridge requires precise pressure adjustment, while a 5-liter keg dispensing system with refrigeration often requires no CO₂ and only needs to be connected to the power supply.
Step-by-step instructions for connecting a dispensing system:
- Prepare the beer keg: Ensure the beer is at the optimal temperature. If necessary, pre-chill it in a beer cooler.
- Connect the tap to the keg: Insert the tap correctly and connect the CO₂ system or electric pump.
- Set the pressure correctly: A constant CO₂ pressure is crucial, especially for a catering dispensing system or a model with a flow-through cooler.
- First tap test: Open the beer tap slowly and hold the glass at an angle – this will avoid excessive foam formation.
Especially with a new dispensing system, it's worth reading the manufacturer's instructions carefully. If you connect your home dispensing system correctly, you can enjoy perfectly poured beer!
Cleaning the tap system – Keeping your beer fresh and tasty
To keep your beer fresh and flavorful, regular cleaning of your dispensing system is essential. Over time, deposits can build up in the lines, which not only impairs the flavor but also encourages bacteria and mold growth. The beer tap, hoses, and keg connection system, in particular, require thorough cleaning to ensure consistently high beer quality.
But how often should a dispensing system be cleaned? The general rule is: After each use, the tap and lines should be rinsed with warm water to remove any beer residue and foam. If you use a 5-liter keg dispensing system with refrigeration or a mobile dispensing system, it is recommended to perform a thorough cleaning after each keg change. In the catering industry or with larger dispensing systems, weekly cleaning with special cleaning agents is necessary to reliably remove germs and deposits. Furthermore, all seals, hoses, and the CO₂ system should be checked monthly to ensure the system functions properly.
The correct cleaning method depends on the specific model. For our home dispensing systems, it's often sufficient to clean the hoses with warm water and a brush. Our professional dispensing systems for the catering industry, on the other hand, require special chemical cleaning agents that remove all residues and prevent germ growth. Catering dispensing systems with automatic rinsing systems are particularly practical, as they make cleaning much easier.
Regularly maintaining your beer dispensing system not only benefits from improved taste, but also extends its lifespan. A well-cleaned dispensing system ensures a perfect dispensing experience and guarantees the highest level of beer enjoyment – without any unwanted flavor changes.
