UBC Kegmaster Extra Cold Draft Refrigerator with Continuous Flow Cooling: The Hybrid System
1. Cabinet Cooling (Keg Cooling)
The cabinet functions as a fully insulated refrigerator. The beer keg inside is permanently kept at a constant storage temperature.
-
Advantage: The beer remains fresh for weeks as the cold chain is not interrupted. Additionally, the CO2 in the beer is kept stable, preventing excessive foam formation.
-
Temperature range: +5 °C.
2. Continuous Flow Cooling (Performance Cooling)
In addition to storage cooling, this model features an integrated dry cooling unit or an enhanced cooling loop. As soon as you tap, the beer is actively cooled further on its way from the keg to the tap.
-
Advantage: Even if the keg (e.g., after a new delivery) is not yet fully chilled, continuous flow cooling guarantees instantly ice-cold beverages.
-
Extra Cold Effect: Rapid cooling to approx. 5 °C.
Technical Highlights of this Configuration
-
Forced-Air Tower Cooling: Cold air is actively circulated into the draft tower. The beer in the line is thus kept cool by both the ambient air in the refrigerator and the air circulation in the tower.
-
Powerful Compressor:1/5 HP to operate both cooling systems simultaneously.
-
Insulation: Strong polyurethane rigid foam insulation for maximum energy efficiency.
-
Stainless Steel Construction: Interior and bottom are made of robust stainless steel to easily withstand the heavy weight of kegs and moisture.
