These cartridges are specifically designed for cold drinks. Everpure water filters work using the precoat filter process. The patented MICRO-PURE filter media used in Everpure precoat filters is a mixture of powdered activated carbon and other food-grade materials. MICRO PURE is washed onto the pleated surface of the filter or fabric by the water pressure. Any unpleasant taste or odor in the water, as well as chlorine, is removed when the water flows through the MICRO-PURE layer. MICRO PURE is also part of the ultra-fine filtration, which filters out particles as small as 0.5 microns.
